Wondering who I am?
I am grandmother.Remember that person who always brought a smile to your face for being
the one who always heard you,
the one who loved you no matter what,
the one who laughed at whatever you said whether or not that was funny!
I am that person.
grandma says...
My husband, Gangadharam, is fond of my mother’s cooking. He always says that even the simple meal she prepares feels like a feast. He loves everything my mother cooks, especially the Avakaya, Gongura pachadi and tomato Pachadi. While he enjoys them, he is too shy to ask for a second serving. Instead, he would give me a gentle nudge or knowing smile, silently asking for a little more.
Naturally, these flavours made their way into our kitchen. We enjoy them with hot rice, pappu annam, and breakfast. Gangadharam loves them with plain warm rice and ghee. As for me, I can't resist my mother’s Allam Pachadi and Kandi Podi. There's something that feels good about little idlis tossed in her Kandi podi with ghee. It feels like a warm hug, taking me back to those carefree mornings in her kitchen.
Even after all these years, the magic of these flavours continues to comfort our meals. This combo of pickles and podis is more than just condiments. The traditional burst of flavours transforms a simple meal into a heartful lunch. With this combo, we hope you enjoy the simple pleasures that bring back fond memories of home.
